    Human Trafficking happens everyday. January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This week the Wyoming High Patrol is in partnership with Truckers Against Trafficking along with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.     The discussion of different rates in the town was the top subject of the first meeting of the year. Burns council met on January 9 at 6:30. Scott Prestidge from Tallgrass Energy introduced himself. He is the manager of Corporate Communications of Tallgrass Energy. The company is working on a project called Trailblazer Conversion.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets boy's varsity basketball team traveled north to Tongue River to play in the 2A tournament. The team did very will against the teams of Big Horn, Tongue River, Sundance and Wright. It would be a genuine test of the depth of the team as they would be playing without one of the starters.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs wrestling team competed in the Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament in Douglas, Wyoming on the 5th and 6th of January 2023. This is one of the largest tournaments in the area with almost 30 teams competing. Teams came from Cheyenne, Wheatland, Thermopolis, Sheridan and Thunder Basin. In the first game of the tournament Daljit Kaur set a new school record in the Broncs win over the Tongue River Eagles.
