    Despite strong efforts by the Hornets boys track and field team the team placed ninth overall. In a field of 13 teams the Hornets managed four top three finishes and several top ten. It was a good showing for the Hornets and sound experience for the team. Alex Head finished second in the men’s 100m run and was part of the first place 4x100m and third place 4x400m relay teams. The meet held in Bayard, Nebraska last Thursday was the Lady Hornets second meet of season.     The Lady Broncs track and field team traveled to Bayard, Nebraska to strut their stuff at the Bayard Invitational track and field meet. The team placed eleventh at the meet. Although they did not do as well as their male counterparts they did their best. For the girls only Bella Laguna was able to make the podium taking third in the pole vault.     The Burns Broncs track and field team again went into no-mans land in Nebraska and competed in the Bayard Invitational Track and Field meet. The Burns Broncs worked hard and shed the competition by taking first place at the meet. Thirteen teams competed in the meet including Southeast, Lingle/Ft Laramie and Pine Bluffs.
