Youth football league alienates Burns, Pine Bluffs teams

Very few teams end the season as champions. Most sports are set up to crown one winner, a champion, who played better and had the best skill set for that sport.

Youth football league is no different. At the end of the season, there is a playoff tournament to decide the victor. Burns and Pine Bluffs both played this year in the Cheyenne youth football league and the post season tournament but were eliminated in the first round.

“I’m really lost with words but only wanted positive experiences for my kids playing,” said Bret Steger, Pine Bluffs coach.
