Pawnee Coyotes start season 1-2

It was a slow start to the season for the Pawnee Coyotes. Facing three opponents last week, the locals lost to Highland on Tuesday 67-57, then fought through two overtimes only to come away on the losing end of a 53-47 score against Frontier Academy on Thursday. On Saturday, the Coyotes posted a 63-59 victory over Lyons.

“We really got out of the gates slow in our first game of the year,” said Pawnee head coach Tim Brunelle. “We were not moving our feet defensively, rebounding well, or playing very smart basketball.
