    Thanks to a family of raccoons, the Windows on the Past archeology site might not ready and open by Memorial Day Weekend. "We unfortunately found that some raccoons got in there and made a pretty big mess at the archeology site," Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson said Monday night.   • One person injured in Saturday night pileup

    Winter weather contributed to a five-car pileup near Pine Bluffs Saturday night. At about 10 p.m. Saturday night, Firefighters from Laramie County Fire District 5 were dispatched west of Pine Bluffs to a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they determined it was a multi-vehicle accident. Video taken from the scene shows several mangled passenger vehicles along with damaged semis. The Wyoming Recreation and Parks Association will hold its spring conference in Pine Bluffs April 18 - 19.     The Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) held its first oil and gas lease auction for 2018 on March 7, 2018 on behalf of the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners – which is made up of the five statewide elected officials. The auction was open for one week and attracted ninety-six bidders. OSLI offered 210 parcels of State Trust Land for lease covering over 85,003 acres across fifteen counties.   • Distracted driving can turn normal days into life-changing events

    What started as a normal work day a few years ago for a Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance crew quickly became a life-changing event because of a distracted driver. A truck driver who was using his laptop while driving sideswiped a WYDOT maintenance vehicle. A WYDOT worker sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the truck driver walked away uninjured.
