Fourth of July set to BLAST off

With an afternoon and evening full of activities on the schedule, the Fourth of July in Pine Bluffs promises to be a fun-filled day for the whole family.

The festivities kick off with a three-on-three basketball tournament at City Park beginning at 4 p.m. From there, families can enjoy BBQ at 5 p.m. with music provided by the Pine Bluffs Jam Band beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the BBQ is $3 dollars.

Through the hard work and dedication of many sponsors, the fireworks will light up the night sky beginning at dusk, viewing for the fireworks is set at the Pine Bluffs Rodeo Arena. Following the patriotic display, come dance your tail off with DJ music at the Texas Trail Market/Pine Bowl parking lot.

Residents are reminded that it is unlawful to set off fireworks anywhere in town. In addition to town restrictions, the Wyoming Wyoming State Park and Historic Site visitors are reminded that fireworks are prohibited at those venues.

Park rangers are authorized to confiscate fireworks from visitors at any time, and persons caught shooting off fireworks can be fined and/or asked to leave the facility.

A county-wide location where people can set off fireworks and fire departments will be on standby at all times is available in Cheyenne. It is located on West College Drive just west of Southwest Drive.
