During the Cheyenne Rotary Club’s Feb. 3, luncheon held at The Holiday Inn, three area students were honored for their exceptional accomplishments, service, and leadership. The ceremony named Brittney Bowman from Pine Bluffs High School, Sarah Gordon from Burns High School and Jessica Nelson from Triumph High School February’s Students of the Month. Each of them was awarded a $250 U.S. Savings Bond and were presented with an award letter signed by Club President, Scott Meier.

Award recipients demonstrate the Rotary 4-Way Test daily: Of the things we think, say or do Is it the Truth? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? These are caring, young role models who are giving life their best shot, and may go unnoticed. Through their service at home, in school, and in their community; demonstrating courage to overcome daily challenges, sharing of their creative talents, and social enterprise, the Rotary Club of Cheyenne’s Student of the Month honorees remind us that it’s the ordinary human virtues that make us all extraordinary.

Each month Cheyenne Rotary Club honors an exemplary student from either Burns High School, Central High School, East High School, Laramie County Community College, Pine Bluffs High School, and/or Triumph High School. We thank Central Bank & Trust and for their sponsorship of advertising and supporting our effort in recognizing these students on their accomplishments.
