Golden Prairie Church is so happy to welcome Andy Moore to our congregation and community as pastor. He and Debbie have been here for a couple of months now and we have thoroughly enjoyed Andy’s presence — both behind the pulpit and amongst God’s people.
Here is their background, as given by Andy:
"I was born in Pennsylvania on April 27, 1958. My family moved from the east coast to Greeley, Colo., in 1968. My wife (Debbie) and I met in youth group during our high school years in Greeley and dated four years before getting married.
"After high school, I worked in law enforcement in Colorado for about ten years. In 1988, I attended Golden Gate Baptist Seminary in Mill Valley, Calif., while working on my Masters of Divinity. During that time, I worked as the English pastor for an all-Korean church in San Francisco. In 1991, I received my MDiv, and our family left for a missionary assignment in Japan, where we lived and worked.
"We returned to the U.S. in 1998 and pastored a church in South Dakota for two years. We then went to work in Delaware as the English pastor for an all-Chinese church. Concern for extended family moved us back west in 2003. I worked in Arizona until May of 2009, and remained there until October of 2009, when we were able to return to family in Colorado.
"Along with pastoring, I have worked as an education pastor and youth pastor. I am also a curriculum writer for a Tennessee-based company that develops on-going teaching material for student ministries. We have two boys that are married and living in Missouri and Arizona. My wife and I are also members of the Fort Collins, Colo. chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. Hobbies include involvement in Scottish events and education, motorcycles, cooking and karate."
Please join us in welcoming Andy and Debbie. Come worship with us Sunday at 10:55am — 13 miles north of Burns to Road 226 then one mile east. You won’t regret the trip!
