The Pine Bluffs Police Department cracked the case of the vandals breaking into the vending machines at the RV Park in Pine Bluffs.

For the last four months, the vending machine had been broken into four times. After the most recent break-in, a candy wrapper trail led police straight to where two juveniles were enjoying the day’s spoils.

In their investigation, fingerprints had been taken at the scene, which helped solidify evidence consistent with the vandals being juveniles, officer Brian Yeomens explained. The pair was charged with larceny and property destruction, Yeomens said, adding their court date is set for early January.
