2017 Ag Expo

The Laramie County Cowbelles hosted their annual Ag Expo September 19 and 20 with over 900 4th graders from Laramie County in attendance at the Archer Complex. With booths ranging from milking a cow to honey bees to learning to rope, the 4th graders learned about a wide variety of different forms of agriculture. They also learned about electricity, stages of wheat from seed to flour, animal byproducts, and the amount of sugar in various foods, along with a John Deere equipment exhibit. There were also exhibits to educate about various plants that grow, and wildlife. Also included was an animal exhibit where the students learned about different farm animals such as pigs, cattle, sheep, goats and chickens. A highlight of the day was watching working cattle dogs herd steers into a trailer.
