'She was a great kid'

Pine Bluffs High School lost one of its own Sunday night.

Senior Destiny Marin was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle when it ran off of County Road 212 and rolled several times.

According to a press release from the Laramie County Sheriff's Department, 21-year-old Lane Carter was driving the vehicle. Excessive speed is being investigated as a possible cause.

Carter was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Marin's Facebook page lists Carter as her boyfriend.

Marin was not wearing her seat belt and died at the scene.

She was 18.
