Western comedy 'Blazing Guns' featured in melodrama

A Pine Bluffs Trail Days tradition is back again this year.

“Blazing Guns,” a western comedy, takes place inthe lobby of the Roaring Gulch Hotel, where the hero, Harry Heartstone is found in pursuit of villain, Snipe Vermin.

Unusual is that the hero and villain are brothers.

Performances of “Blazing Guns” will take place Wednesday through Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Historic Pine Bluffs High School.

It features Jordan and Taylor Crouse, Bret and Kristina Steger, Sarah Coverdale, Laine Vasko, Amber Abrams, Matt Hockersmith and Joleen Marquardt..

In addition to the melodrama, Pine Bluffs residents will have plenty to do as a part of this year’s Trail Days.

Prior to the Wednesday performance, Trail Days Queen Kelby Eastman will be recognized.

Other events include Fun Friday at the Pine Bluffs Swimming Pool from 2 to 4 p.m. in which attendees can swim for free.

Street dances will be held at the Knotty Pine Saloon at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

The Trail Days Parade is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

On Sunday, Cowboy Church will be held at the Pine Bluffs Recreation Area at 8:30 a.m.

Free breakfast at City Park will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday as well.
