During the weekend of April 6, 2024, High West Energy suffered widespread outages across its service territory due to high winds and winter conditions. This outage resulted in the loss of approximately 600 poles, downed or twisted line, and about 3,000 members without power during the peak of the storm. Glen Franklin Warner, 80, passed away peacefully at home in Guernsey on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1944 to Claris and Pearl (Keane) Warner in Fort Laramie, Wyoming. Glen spent all of his childhood in the Guernsey area and graduated from Guernsey High School in 1962. The Pine Bluffs Hornets track and field team flew down the highway to Broncs Stadium to compete in the Burns Invite track and field meet last Friday. The Lady Broncs track and field team loves to run at home. They showed off their talents and running abilities at the Burns Invite Track and Field meet last Friday. The Lady Broncs claimed the silver medal in the meet. Brynn Bach would be the only Lady Bronc to find the top spot on the podium with several other Lady Broncs hitting the second and third place spots. Caysen Ross, a first-year student on the Burns/Pine Bluffs wrestling team also wrestles for a couple of clubs in the local area. Ross wrestles with the Tri-State Grapplers and the Bear Cave program out of Greeley, Colorado. Recently Ross competed in the Midwest National Classic wrestling tournament held on March 30th. Rachael Macy, the Lady Hornets volleyball player has decided on where she would like to continue her sports and educational career.
