  • Stolen vehicle in Pine Bluffs gives way to warning for residents

    The Knotty Pine Saloon was the scene of a crime. On Saturday February 13 around 7 p.m. a running vehicle was stolen from the Knotty Pine Saloon. The owner of the vehicle had left it running while they were inside the bar. When the customer prepared to leave they noticed their vehicle was gone from the parking spot. Police were notified and the search for the vehicle began. Reportedly Thomas Nace, 39, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, took the running car from the parking lot.     The Burns town council recently held their February meeting on the 8th.  Kayla Madler attended to express interest in renting the room next to her pre-existing room that she rents. Her request is to rent both rooms for $400 a month however, council member Judy Johnstone revised her rental rate to 34 cents per square foot bringing the total rent per room price to $240 per month in total for both rooms that would be $480.     Burns and Pine Bluffs Elementary and Jr High recently competed in the Laramie County School District 2 spelling bee. Only grades 5th through 8th grades are allowed to participate. Due to COVID-19, this year's competition was all hosted online. There were three rounds of on-line competition.
