  • Starting Plants from Seed

Mike Heath Laramie County Master Gardners|Mar 17, 2022

I thought last year was strange as far as the weather went but this year has been a real kicker. Last week we had temperatures in the 60's and this week down to zero. Weather like this forces me to look at the calendar to remind myself how far we are into the year. The Master Gardeners Plant Sale is just around the corner on May 14th and my start date for plants is already here. I won't start anything that is going to be planted outside until the first half of April, though. Mine will all go in...

  • All Men are Created Equal Part 2

    Mar 17, 2022

Last week I wrote about the meaning of the “all men are created equal” statement in the Declaration of Independence and how both Communism and Socialism attempt to force equality, both failing. This week I want to discuss inequality. I touched on it briefly last week but there simply isn’t enough space to cover everything at one time. The term “all men are created equal” literally means that we’re all made the same way. The implication is that we all come into the world the same way as well. At birth, none of us has control over anything. T...

  • Letter to the Editor

    Jennifer James|Mar 17, 2022

Dear Editor, I am a landowner in senate District 6. I have reached out to Senator Bouchard on many occasions for his assistance, most notably when I testified to the Labor Health Committee on nursing issues. Although my Senator is about as smooth as sandpaper, I could always count on him to speak up and question the Committee when discussions were moving in the wrong direction. I think Senate 6 deserves their voice heard on the committees he was assigned. I question the validity of his removal and support my former Senator. If they can remove...
