    Mayor William Shain administered the Oath of Office to the Town of Pine Bluffs new treasurer Monday night. Kim Anderson, a native of Massachusetts, and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, began work as the town's treasurer Monday.   • Town Council approves resolution for Main Street lighting

    The Pine Bluffs Town Council approved Resolution 2015-03 at Monday night’s meeting, which allows for the funding of the Main Street Lighting project. The resolution is a necessary part of the grant application, which will be submitted to the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) for the amount of $195,000. Luverne was born April 6, 1923, in Miller, SD, a son of the late Emil and Louise (Becker) Gade. Vern was raised in Pine Bluffs and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in 1941.     The Pine Bluffs Girls' and Boys' track and field teams are getting prepared for the upcoming season, which begins March 28 at the Kimball Invitational. Returning this year for the girls senior Jaden Ragsdale, juniors Celestial Jackson, Brooke Darden and Taylen Fornstrom, and sophomores Montanna Chrystal and Jadyn Golding.     The Pine Bluffs Boys' track team will return to the field this year with six state qualifying athletes, two of whom will be finishing their high school careers this year. Seniors Preston Thurin and Scott Gross showed a lot of talent during the state contests last year according to Coach Dustin Lee.
