Corn on the cob, roasted corn, whole corn, creamed corn, corn relish, corn soup, cornbread, popcorn, tortillas, corn pudding, johnny cakes, corn muffins, hominy, grits, and plenty more. Corn has been a staple in the Western hemisphere for, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, 10,000 years originating in the region where Mexico is today. • Food brings everyone to the table

Todd Fornstrom Pres Wyo Farm Bureau Fed|Mar 25, 2021

“Food brings everyone to the table!” That phrase was an understatement when I was growing up. As the youngest of three brothers growing up on a farm, the table was where I learned a lot about life. We were always hungry, and we most likely needed the most direction at that stage in life. Lunch time was first and foremost a time to refuel and recover in preparation for the rest of the day. My mother always had the meal ready, and my brothers and I had the job of setting and picking up the table. We would all sit down with mom on one end of the...

The contents of this article do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the Pine Bluffs Post. LIBERTY Plank 9 “Liberty is indivisible from economic freedom. The free market economy is the economic system most compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and constitutional government. Government’s undue interference in the market, as well as the fiscal irresponsibility of government, results in economic inequity. There exists no fundamental right to the fruits of another person’s labor.” Liberty is one of the three unalien...

  • Legislative Watch - HB0075, HB0082 and HB0209 (Legalization of Marijuana), HB0116, HB0124 and SF081(Second Amendment) Updates

    Mike Heath|Mar 25, 2021

I have to admit that I’m sorely disappointed with our legislature this year. In the November elections the voters removed several legislators that had shown themselves to be more liberal than Wyoming and replaced them with people who were supposed to be conservative. This legislature has shown itself to be just as liberal, if not more, than previous legislatures. Even some whom I know personally, and who have always been very conservative, have turned to the “dark side”. I don’t understand it. A couple have made the comment that they conside...
