    It was great night with so many activities in the community. There was about 200 people that attended the dance at Burns North Complex. The Burns Lions Club had music and food for the evenings event. People came from Pine Bluffs, Carpenter, Burns, and Cheyenne. The floor was full of families teaching the young kids to dance.     Three Burns High School students had the honor to be chosen for the Dandies. The Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandies were founded in 1970. Arlene Kensinger was the one that started the drill team. The Dandies were formed to serve as goodwill ambassadors for the sport of rodeo and the western way of life. Kensinger had been interested in rodeo since she was teenager.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets boys track and field team traveled to Morrill, Nebraska for the Morrill Early Bird track and field meet. This is the first meet of the season for the running Hornets and the first time to stretch their wings against other teams.     The Burns Girls Track and Field team traveled the their counterparts at the Sidney Invite meet. The girls competed in the John Ganser Invite to hone their skills in the field and track events. Many of the girls were able to place in the top three positions with several others placing in the top 10.     The Burns Broncs Track and Field team started practicing on March 13th for the 2023 season. They are looking forward to improving on their efforts and times. In the 2022 season the girls were ranked fifth and the boys team was ranked sixth. Last year was a good year for them and some individual efforts shined all the way to the State meet.
