    The fire station is huge with a new look in Albin, Wy. Laramie County Fire District #3 had an open house for their new fire station on April 1st during the afternoon.     A special meeting of the Town of Pine Bluffs council was held with little town citizens showing up. The main focus of the meeting was in the new business. This was discussed once the agenda and consent agenda were approved. Resolution 2023-07 was first on the agenda.   • Burns Council discusses multiple concerns from the Mayor

    There were some concern about the cleaning bid for the Town of Burns. The Burns Town Council met on March 27th for their second regular meeting of the month. Mayor Jim Clark had several issues to report on. First was his concern with the cleaning bid from Shawntelle Young. He said, “She underbid the job as she spends so much time here cleaning.” Mayor Clark requested Young do some additional cleaning at an hourly rate.     Pine Bluffs has a new Police Chief in town. Austin Smith has had the honor to be chosen for the position. Smith has been in law enforcement for 12 years. He started in Dawson County up by Chadron, Nebraska working in the County Sheriff's office. Smith was there for three and a half years.     The Hornets boy's track and field team went across the state line to compete in the Bayard C&D Invitational track meet last Saturday. The team did very well taking home the third place award just under the Burns Broncs boy's team. The team scored 66 points overall with a few members of the team breaking the top three.     The Burns boy's track and field team traveled to the Bayard C&D invite to compete against 15 other teams in an 'invitational' meet. The team did well placing second with 79 points. Several of the individual athletes also did very well breaking the top three positions on the podium. This was a good start to the season and good experience for the team.     The Lady Hornets track and field team traveled to Bayard, Nebraska to compete in the Bayard C&D Invitational Track and Field Meet. As a team they placed seventh in the meet with 48 points. There were 15 other teams competing at the meet from all around the area. Some of the Lady Hornets did very well.     The Lady Broncs traveled to Nebraska to compete in the Bayard C&D Invitational track and field meet last week. The team had a rough outing against some of the better teams from around the area.     Pine Bluffs Recreation had their annual National Take a Walk in the Park Day on March 30th. Everyone was invited to the Pine Bluffs City park on Main Street.
