    Laramie County Fire District No. 5 after waiting a year, finally receive their new fire truck. The truck was approved by their board to purchase last year. Their decision was to buy the cab and chaissey from Spadley Barr in Cheyenne, but all the work to bring it to fire department level was done locally. The plumbing fittings were obtained by Bowman Irrigation of Pine Bluffs, as well as some of the parts came from Pine Bluffs Auto Parts/NAPA. The labor to assemble it together, toolboxes as well...

    Ken Haas Ken Haas and wife Pam are long-time residents of the Pine Bluffs area. Haas has recently announced his plans and goals to run for one of two council member positions.     Laramie County School District number 2 superintendent John Abrams recently announced his retirement in Wyoming in his plan to relocate to Idaho. Abrams decided it was time to move a little closer to his family in Idaho. There he will serve 3 more years as a superintendent in the Malad Idaho schools.     Frank H. Janesofsky of Independence, Ore. passed away on March 24, 2021 at the age of 87. Frank was born on July 3, 1933 in Egbert, Wyoming to Frank and Mildred (Gross) Janesofsky. Frank graduated from Egbert High School in 1951. After graduating high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He worked much of his life as a construction truck driver. He married Helen Dalsing on August 29, 1959 in Littleton, CO., and they raised two children. Frank was a member of Elks Lodge and enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.     At the April meeting for Pine Bluffs Town Hall there was quite a bit of hustle and bustle. To kick off the meeting guests with the Kimball health services attended and had a very detailed presentation for the council to review in regards to the new hospital that will be located in Kimball Nebraska. The current hospital in Kimball has been in operation for 70 years. The most recent addition to the hospital was in 2007.     The Pine Bluffs Track and Field team competed in the Okie Blanchard Meet on 10 April at the Okie Blanchard Stadium. According to team coach Dustin Lee the team did very well.     The Burns Broncs Track and Field team competed in the Bayard Invitational C-D meet on April 10th. The team did well and placed in the top on numerous events.     BHS and BJH competed in the Wyoming State Science Olympiad at Casper College on April 10. The JH team won 2nd place. They were tied for 1st but lost the tiebreaker. Out of 20 events the JH won six gold medals, two silver, and one bronze. The HS team didn't place, but won six medals total. The HS team won one gold medal, two silver medals and three bronze medals.
