James Ernest Loyd, 75, of Hereford, Colorado passed away April 20, 2023 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 27, 1948 to Jesse and Evelyn (Flierl) Loyd in Denver, Colorado. The Hornets boy's track and field team were on the track last Friday for the Kendra Roeder Invite Track and Field meet. Teams from all over the state competed in the ice-cold conditions on the field. Pine Bluffs Hornets Boys Basketball coach Tyler Kimzey has been named as one of the Coaches of the Year for the winter sports program. The Burns Lady Broncs Track And Field team traveled to Pine Bluffs on April 21st for the Kendra Roeder Invite meet. The meet was held in the icebox that was the Hornets Stadium. The temperature was just above the freezing mark and the wind was 10-15 miles per hour. The wind chill was below freezing.
