Chief Walkama Pine Bluffs Police Dept|Apr 28, 2022

April 24-30, 2022, has been designated as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Since 1981, this week has been dedicated to learning about victimization and the effect victimization has on individuals. In a small town, victims are not numbers. They are our family, friends, and members of our community. Often, victims of crime are led to believe that once the criminal justice process is over, then they will have closure. Unfortunately, and in most cases, this is not always the end of victimization. Post-conviction, victims often are left f...

  • Asparagus

Mike Heath Laramie County Master Gardners|Apr 28, 2022

This week I finished one harvest. Asparagus. Besides green peas, asparagus is one of my most favorite vegetables. In fact, just because the harvest is done doesn't mean that I'm finished cutting it. While I'm out weeding or working in the garden, I've been known to cut a spear or two and eat fresh, right there, as a snack. Just like picking the currants as a snack later in the season. Not only is asparagus tasty, but it contains a whole bunch of nutrients. And fresh asparagus is even better....
