    Several members of the Burns FFA Chapter attended the State FFA Convention held in Cheyenne and was recognized for several accomplishments. The chapter was recognized as a Gold Emblem 3 Star Chapter and was named the Outstanding Chapter Model of Innovation for Growing Leaders.     This years Wyoming School Nurse Association (WSNA) School Nurse of the Year is our own Kay Dersham. A 1981 graduate of the University of Wyoming, Kay was the first school nurse in the Laramie County School District #2. She also developed the school nursing program from scratch.     Douglas A. Onigkeit passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2019 in Spokane, Washington in the presence of dear friends. Formerly of Potter, Nebraska and recently of Othello, Washington, Doug was born in Kimball, Nebraska on March 25th, 1946 to Lester and Orleatha (Heidemann) Onigkeit.     April 25th and 26th were bittersweet days at the Special Olympics for Donna Crandall. After more than twenty years with the school district Donna is retiring as special education teacher.
