    In 1868 a small out of the way spot was designated Rock Ranch. It was made up of a tent, a slab shack with a chimney, and one square shed. One year later this would become Pine Bluffs. By 1884 Pine Bluffs would become the largest cattle shipping point of the Union Pacific (UP) Railroad at its peak running over 800,000 head of cattle through the Texas Trail.     Shirley Jean Krauss (Leemaster) Hall, 67, of Hereford, Colorado, passed away May 1, 2019 at her home after a valiant fight against ovarian cancer. Shirley was born May 9, 1951 in Belmond, Iowa to Elmer and Eunice Krauss. She was the youngest of three children, born and raised on a farm in northern Iowa.     WASHINGTON, May 6, 2019 – USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced that organic producers and handlers can apply for federal funds to assist with the cost of receiving and maintaining organic certification through the Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP). Applications for fiscal 2019 funding are due Oct. 31, 2019.     As the Saturday afternoon sun shone down on the unbridled and sweating dog flesh that milled around the track, the inaugural Corgi Derby was set to start. Dressed in their derby finery the corgi owners sipped Mint Juleps and Kentucky Mules while they waited for their heats.
