The Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency will be testing the Outdoor Warning Siren system promptly at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 5, for Pine Bluffs. The warning system will sound a steady signal for a period of one to three minutes. The Friday Night =G Rodeo series resumed in Pine Bluffs last week, with cowboys and cowgirls from all over the states of Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska. Contracts totaling $11.9 million for 11 highway projects around the state, including one made possible by increased fuel tax revenue, were awarded by the Wyoming Transportation Commission. We had a flock of pelicans fly over the farm a few days ago. Not surprising considering western Nebraska has turned into the land of a thousand lakes. There is more rain in the short and long range forecasts. We received almost 3.5 inches of rain over Memorial weekend. This brings our total precipitation for the month of May up to 9.5 inches. Invitations have been readied and sent to graduates of East Laramie County High Schools – Egbert, Hillsdale, Burns and Carpenter (EHBC) for the 65th annual alumni banquet.
