David and Kara Acton took two of the many open seats at the Pine Bluffs town council meeting Monday evening. The Actons were present for the public hearing on their bid to transfer the liquor license from Pal’s Pub to their names. Michael Jay Palm, 61, of Goddard, Kan., died on April 24, 2013, in Mumbai, India. Jay was born on July 25, 1951, in Cheyenne, to Edwin R. Palm, Jr. and Harriet Ann (Larson) Palm. Frank E. Martinez, 85, of Cheyenne, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. The warm mild day Saturday welcomed everyone on the main street of Grover for the Earl Anderson Memorial Rodeo. The 90th celebration started with a parade of tractors, horses, politicians and floats which sailed by and threw candy at the young and old. The village board met last week. They passed an ordinance to change the monthly meetings from the second Thursday of each month to the second Wednesday of each month, starting in July.
