The Earl Anderson Memorial Rodeo was celebrating it's 99th year and it all started with a parade held in Grover, Colo. To get the parade started on the right track, the Donald Eisenhauer American Legion Post 60 Honor Guard from Pine Bluffs posted the colors by leading off the parade with flags flying and a very patriotic float of members making sure the kids got a good start on candy. A new Marshal is coming to town. The Burns town council met on June 13th at 6:30 p.m. First on the Agenda was a request for the approval of the sewer line extension that is bad. The Utility board put bids out to companies to put a new sewer line in on Second street. Two different companies submitted bids. MSI with a bid of $74,850 and Aztec Construction with a bid of $58,255. The council voted going with the bid from Aztec. Classic cars and antique tractors lined Main street around the park. At Burns Days on June 11th following the parade, tractors and cars were a major presence around the Main Street Park. There were 11 tractors for the people's choice. Some had traveled from as far as Laramie. The winner was Roger White with his 1950's Mayrath mobile. June 20, 2022 -- The University of Wyoming lists 208 students from Laramie County on the 2022 spring semester academic Dean’s and Dean’s Freshman Honor Rolls. The honor rolls consist of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade-point average, and freshmen who have earned a 3.25 or better grade-point average. Thursday night I watched the made for TV hearing on the January 6th protest. For the first five minutes or so the Chairman, Democrat Bennie Thompson, praised Liz Cheney for her support of the Democrat’s actions against Donald Trump. Cars and people wandered the streets looking for yards full of items in them. Pine Bluffs, Burns and Albin had garages sales this month. This is a yearly event for all towns. Pine Bluffs annual garage sale is held the first Saturday in June which happened to be the 4th. There were 28 garage sales listed for the town.
