Burns Day is back! June 12th this year the Burns Lions Club worked diligently to bring back the celebration. Burns Day started out years ago as a celebration for class reunions. Egbert and Burns High Schools were combined when these reunions were started. Eventually it turned into a whole town celebration with a parade, vendors, sports competitions and of course food. Torrington, Wyoming, June 22, 2021 - Officials at Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) have announced that a cybersecurity attack received early this morning has currently disabled the College’s computer, phone and email systems. There are a few places that cause me to cringe inside every time I drive past them. Every one is a home on a small acreage with a lot of horses. A Pine Bluffs Hornets alum scores big at Chadron State Collage. Jourdaine Cerenil graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in 2020. She was on the Hornets track team and volleyball team. She received a scholarship to Chadron State College in track. Her specialty, the high jump. At the end of her first year of competition she had broke the schools record for "women's jumps group." Rodeo - Grover style. June 19 and 20, each day at least 1,000 people came to see the 98 th PRCA "The Biggest Little Rodeo In the West" in Grover. Several big tents were set up on the east side of the arena close to the fence and cars and pickups lined up close where there were no stands for sitting. Father's Day weekend was the 98th year rodeo in Grover, Colorado. This memorial rodeo is about Earl Anderson and his family. It is called the "Home of the Biggest Little Rodeo in the West."
