    Arva L. Steege, 73, of Pine Bluffs, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 3, 1942 in Thermopolis, a daughter to Arvy and Mabel (Shelton) Warren. As a child, Arva's family moved to Cheyenne where she grew up and attended cosmetology school. She worked in Pine Bluffs as a hair stylist. Arva married Martin E. Steege on July 31, 1966 and they made their home and raised their children in Pine Bluffs. Mr. Steege passed away on Oct. 10, 2011. She enjoyed...

    The 2015 drawings for resident elk as well as for resident and non-resident deer and antelope licenses are now in the books. Hunters can check their results on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s website or by calling 307-777-4600.     Hunters who are looking for the opportunity to hunt in the best areas in Wyoming are reminded that less than ten days remain to apply for the Super Tag and Super Tag Trifecta raffles.     Governor Matt Mead directed the Attorney General to appeal a federal district judge’s decision to dismiss the state’s lawsuit against the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) over wild horse management in Wyoming. The state’s appeal was filed and will be heard in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Detours and road closures for demolition of the existing structures will significantly impact travel in the project area over the next week.
