In some students' eyes this could be a good thing, because they are organized and have great computers and family members to help them with their work. For some others this might be a bad thing. For the family members of a soldier or sailor there is a collective sigh of relief when that person manages to come home safely from war, but for many of those service members the war comes home with them. Several Firefighters left their families this Father's Day to respond to a lightning caused grass fire 9 miles west of Pine Bluffs. We responded with a total of 5 LCFD 5 units and 10 firefighters. LCFD 6 was dispatched on automatic mutual aid and responded with 2 units and were canceled after going en route. The fire was contained at just under 3 acres. As you can see in the pictures the grass appeared to be very green but there is old dead grass mixed in allowing fires to still spread....
CHEYENNE: Laramie County Library System will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25 with restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Grover CO had its 97th annual PRCA rodeo this weekend. The Biggest Little Rodeo in The West. Because so many rodeos have been cancelled, there were several "big" PRCA champions competing. June 18 saw the first Pine Bluffs Recreation Pet Parade in the park. Hosted by recreation director Sonja Fornstrom, the small group was entertained by a dog named Tinkerbell and a feisty little rabbit courtesy of Diana Sanchez Everyone that attended was awarded a participation ribbon, and Tinkerbell the dog was able to show off her wardrobe.
