After calling the meeting to order the Pine Bluffs Town Council moved to the business of the intended use of property by Chad Brown and Gene Purdy for their company Wyoming Malted. Cheyenne Frontier Days will drive nearly 550 head of Corriente steers from the pasture north of Cheyenne along I-25, and through the city streets into Frontier Park Sunday, July 12. The drive begins at approximately 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of I-25 and Horse Creek Road, north of the city. It then moves along I-25 on the Eastern frontage road to Hynds Blvd, turns south to Central Avenue to Kennedy Road, and then moves from Kennedy Road to Carey Avenue and into Frontier Park. Brianna Bocox of Burns has been skating since she was eight. In her second year of inline skating she took fourth place in the Nationals in Nebraska. Now, a decade later, she has won a spot on TeamUSA to compete in Taiwan. But its the bits in between that has made it all possible. Hunters who missed the application periods to get into the drawings for elk, deer and antelope licenses still have an opportunity to hunt this fall by picking up licenses that were undersubscribed in the initial drawings. Leftover full-price licenses will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Following the June drawing there are 1,818 elk, 1,178 deer and 4,420 antelope licenses remaining. Saturday evening was loud, bright and happy in Albin. This week at the Hereford Community Church the congregation burned their burdens then shared Holy Communion. There were special guests, Dr. Steve and Alene Burgert, who are missionaries in Kenya. Dr. Steve specializes in cancer of the esophagus. There is a high incidence of that kind of cancer in Kenya. He works with Tenwek Hospital. Alene works with the prison ministry. The Wyoming Highway Patrol is reminding everyone of a new law that took effect on July 1st.
