Of the little over 400,000 soldiers sent here approximately 12,000 were kept in the twenty-three camps scattered across Nebraska. The base camp located in...

  • Invasive Plants

Mike Heath Laramie County Master Gardners|Jul 25, 2019

A few weeks ago I wrote about one of our more invasive species of grass, the dreaded Dalmatian Toadflax. While it is one of our greatest problems, it isn't the only one. Among the list of many plant species that are considered to be invasive there are two others that are at the top of the list with toadflax: cheatgrass and leafy spurge. I was prompted to cover these two plants for two main reasons. The first is the flyer sent out by Catherine Wissner, Laramie County Horticulturalist, to all...

In many town and cities across the United States there are American Legions Post and Auxiliary Units. Each is serving those who have served and those currently serving. Each Unit serves and cares for the Veterans in many ways and forms. We are here to serve our Veterans, the military and their families. The members...
