    You can smell the sweetness in the air coming from the new bakery. It is finally here, well at least the bakery is. Bluffs Bakery opened up for business on July 18th. Amy and Patrick Currie have been catering throughout the communities. They finally decided to take the business to the next level. Patrick Currie is a baker and Amy is the cook.     Looking for a freezer was on the agenda for the night. The Albin Town council had a meeting on July 14th at 7 p.m. It was a quick and to the point meeting. The lunch program is doing great through the summer with the extra construction in the area. The only new business was the Albin Community Center is needing a freezer for some meat that the lunch program will be receiving. They will be doing price comparisons at different stores.   • Hillsdale holds a Benefit for Jay Beavers family

    The heat is high and so were the bids for the night. The Hillsdale Ladies sponsored a Benefit for Jay Beavers on July 22nd. Beavers was on a call when he fell from a firetruck. He is a volunteer firefighter for the Burns/Hillsdale Fire Department. When he fell he broke his wrist in several places. Because of that he could not go back to work. The fundraiser was to help assist with bills for housing, food and medical expenses. His accident happened in the first part of June and he is still...

    CHEYENNE – The Unclaimed Property Division of the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office paid out more than $15.25 million in money and securities value during fiscal year 2022, which ended June 30. The division set numerous records over the past year, including $8.072 million in cash paid and another $7.179 worth of securities that were returned to their rightful owners.     The squirt guns were full of paint and ready to go. At the Pine Bluffs Library was a new form of art being discovered on July 13th at 11 a.m. through 12 p.m. Holly Bauer gave each of the kids a canvas set up on the east side of the library on the sidewalk. Each artist received a squirt gun filled with a single color of paint. The paint is washable and watered down a bit to be able to squirt through the gun.     Pine Bluffs, Burns, and Grover had their last games of the summer. On Thursday July 21 the Burns and Pine Bluffs ball fields were full with players and parents. These were the last games of the season, and the players and parents were tired by the end of it. Burns played Grover with Pee Wee, T-Ball and Sr. T- Ball.
