Mondays town council meeting opened with the introduction of Resolution 2019-07, a JPA loan application for construction of a new terminal and hangar at the airport. While the terminal is federally funded the hangar itself is locally funded at a cost of approximately 200,000 dollars which would be covered by the loan. It is anticipated that there will be a tenant in the hangar itself and those lease fees would be covered by said tenant. The Pine Bluffs Library finished off their summer reading program with a party at the Texas Trail Museum this last Saturday. Molly Williams was on hand with ice cream and pony rides to reward those kids who were able to complete either their 25 books, 25 days, or 25 hours of reading this summer. Carl E. Sundin, 86, of Pine Bluffs, finished his time on this earth on August 14, 2019, at the Veterans Administration Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 24th, at the Pine Bluffs Community Center with Scott Rauscher and Sandy Pheifer officiating. The Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department Executive Director, Gus Lopez has named Roy Kroeger the new Director of Environmental Health, effective August 19, 2019. Roy has been an Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor for the past 17 years, will now head the division that oversees food, water, pools, sewage, and disease investigations.
