    Grover, Colorado 'got their celebration on' for Grover Days on Saturday, September 4th starting at 10:00 a. m. The town of Grover was plotted on November 10, 1888, and then incorporated October 6, 1916. Through the years the town's folk would pick a time to get together to celebrate the end of summer with events for the families to participate in.     The Grover Annual Barbecue Cook off was held on Saturday September 4th during the Grover Days celebration. The cook off started four years ago. Some of the towns folk wanted to fire up the barbecue and see who had the best recipes. At the end of the summer, they started the Northern Colorado Barbecue Association. Anyone can participate.     Welcome to the Grover Musuem located at the east end of Main Street in Grover, Colorado. The building was originally the Railroad Depot. It became a museum in 1975 donated by Fritz Duggan. Duggan was the last railroad agent in Grover. He bought the building when he retired. Duggan then donated to the Pawnee Historical Society. It took some work to put it back together.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets football team traveled to Riverside for their contest last week on Thursday. They played the Riverside Rebels. The team was looking for a win in the faraway city of Riverside and they were ready to play. After all the pre-season prep and work outs the team was fit and looking for a win.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs cross country track team ran their second race of the season on Sept 3, 2021 at the Five Rocks Amphitheater in Gering, Nebraska. The weather was a little humid and overcast but the runners were anxious to get out there and give it their all.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets Girls Volleyball team traveled to Yuma, Colorado to face their counterparts there. The Hornets were ready and anxious to put their talents to work and were looking for a win to start the season off. However this was not the time nor the place for the Hornets.     The Grover Garden Tractor Pull was Saturday September 4th. There were twenty-five contestants. They ranged in ages of three years old to eighty–seven years old.
