The Laramie County School Board District 2 has been having extended discussions at the Committee of the Whole meetings and the school board meetings. In the last month in Pine Bluffs two trailers have been stolen. One was a utility trailer and the other was a box trailer. The box trailer has been recovered but the thieves were working on covering the trailer with a new paint job. As for the utility trailer, it is still out there. The town of Albin held their monthly meeting on September 9th at 7:00p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kelly Krakow. The previous minutes were approved. The Burns Lions Club held a fund raiser for first responders on September 11th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Burns town hall gymnasium. It was a busy night for the town of Burns. The Pine Bluffs Hornets varsity football team rated number 4 in the region had their second game in their journey to the state championship last Saturday. The Hornets hosted their long time SEWAC rivals the Lusk Tigers. The Tigers are rated as the number 1 team in the region right now and their record was 1-0. The Lady Broncs volleyball team traveled to Rawlins for the Rawlins Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The team was excited to play and showcase their talents. The Rawlins tournament draws a lot of schools from around the state and gives the girls the chance to see other teams that they may not face in the normal rounds during the season.
