    There were not a lot of big issues on Monday's Laramie County School District 2 Board agenda, but there were a lot of small ones that necessitated discussion. Superintendent Jon Abrams stated that he intends to create a 'pool' of para professionals for the school district. The individuals who apply will be required to fill out the normal application, will be interviewed to determine their suitability, and then approved by the Board.     Lynda C. Wasielewski, 61, of Bushnell, died at her home in Bushnell on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015. Cremation has been held and there will be no services at this time.     An open house celebrating Virginia Johnston's 95th birthday will take place Sunday, Sept. 27, from 2 – 4 p.m., at the home of Donald and Rita Johnston, 42020 CR 108, Grover. Virginia was born Sept. 30, 1920 in Greeley, to Marvin and Edith Buckendorf. Her family moved to the Sligo/Grover area when she was one year old. She married Wilbur Johnston on March 12, 1938, and together they owned and operated the 11M Ranch south of Grover, until Wilbur's death in 2004.     What a beautiful day to run. Seventy-three degrees is much more enjoyable than 97 degrees, like last week in Gering. Our athletes times showed that difference too.     The Panhandle Senior Ladies Golf Association held their latest outing at Four Winds Golf Course in Kimball. Winning first place and securing two birdies and one eagle was the team of Shelly Neinhueser, Deanna Funk, Shirley Crossman and Vickie Nemnich.     The Burns Lady Broncs traveled north, last week, to compete in the Big Horn Tournament at Big Horn schools. Facing off against teams from all over the states, Burns won four of the 10 games they participated in. Day one saw the Lady Broncs squaring off against Thermopolis.     Hoping to ride the momentum of their victory last week, the Pine Bluffs Hornets hosted Lingle Ft. Laramie in their home opener on Friday. Despite scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter, the Hornets were unable to to topple the visiting team, falling 35-27.     icked off on Friday, Sept. 11. Making the trek from Pine Bluffs, the Lady Hornets took on several teams from across the state winning their pool on Friday. According to coach Chris Nusbaum, games on Friday were pool play. Nusbaum said the Lady Hornets won their pool on tie breakers. The Lady Hornets opened their pool play against Wind River and ended up splitting the games 1-1. 17-25, 26-24. Against Rocky Mountain, the Lady Hornets swept, 25-14, 25-13.     A road trip up to Newcastle leave the Burns Broncs still searching for their first win of the season. Burns was able to get one touchdown in a 56-7 routing by the Dogies. Newcastle scored all of their points unanswered until late in the fourth quarter. Danny Jensen was able to break away for a 66-yard touchdown run.
