    Victoria Smithey Pine Bluffs Post|Sep 26, 2019

Although I am confident that you do not have to be a senior citizen to have a problem operating your tech devices, todays workshop was a fun opportunity for Pine Bluffs High School students to interact with local senior residents. The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) were on hand today along with teacher, Mary Jacobsen, the American Association of Retired People (AARP), and Wyoming Relay to help local senior citizens figure out their smart phones and tablets. Tonya Johnson from AARP...

  • Preparing for Winter

Mike Heath Laramie County Master Gardners|Sep 26, 2019

Well, I was wrong. Or at least my hopes were. I truly hoped we could squeeze out another two to three weeks of nice, warm weather before it started getting cold. Last night my hopes were dashed. The low here at the house was 38 degrees. That's only six degrees from freezing. Freezing is the end of an experiment I have going in the strawberries and will mean a quicker demise of the vegetables in the greenhouse. Right now everything is still producing and I'd hoped to go into November. Oh. Except...

  • A Veteran Mother's Story

    Penny Merryfield|Sep 26, 2019

My father before me was a United States Air Force veteran. He served over twenty years. My time as a United States Air Force veteran was much shorter. Then came my husband, Jim, who retired at almost twenty-one years. After his retirement, our daughter Rhonda Rasgorshek served active duty in the Wyoming Air Guard. All of us are someone's child who served in the military. As with any branch of service, our soldiers can be sent to a war zone, be assigned to foreign countries where there is unrest...

Southeast reported a total of 242 offensive yards compared to Pine's 148, almost half! With a final score of 17 to 9 the Hornets are working hard, but struggling to find their rhythm. Donte Jacobsen worked hard and ended up with a total of 148 yards, but couldn't seem to make...

    A Rousseau|Sep 26, 2019

Happy Homecoming for XC too--this week was crazy with the changes to the XC schedule in the 11th hour. The Pine Bluffs/Burns XC team traveled to Fort Collins, Colorado to compete--this meet was much much smaller than in years past. There were 6 races beginning at 3 pm, so it made for a long day. We were missing a few harriers this week due to injuries, homecoming festivities, and grades, but it was a great day for an XC meet. Junior High ran a 2.2-mile race today. We split our kids into Varsity and JV today, but the races should have been combi...
