The Bushnell community is asking for contributions to help upgrade road signs. After the last Village Board Meeting in Bushnell, Norma Szobody, the secretary for the Community Center Board, volunteered to launch a fundraising project to raise money to replace the village's stop signs. Szobody said federal laws requires all villages and cities to have highly reflective signs to enable emergency vehicles to find addresses. This will put Bushnell in compliance with the traffic and street signs....

The Laramie County Sheriff's Department has been made aware of a scam by an individual posing as a lieutenant from the Laramie County Sheriff's Department and using a cloned “307” number. The Sheriff's Office received a report from a citizen who had been left a voicemail from an individual identifying himself as a Lieutenant from the LCSD. He stated that an arrest warrant had been issued for that individual, and then for them to call 307-460-1123 for additional instructions. Joe "Martin" Ornelas, 88, of Pine Bluffs, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, in Pine Bluffs. He was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Worland, Wyo., and had lived in Pine Bluffs all of his life. The Burns High varsity football team lost a shootout, 38-26, to Glenrock on Friday night at South High School in Cheyenne.
