Pine Bluffs Distillery hosted their first Inaugural Bar Bucks Chili Cook-off. Many people showed up to support the event. In past years the cook-off had been hosted at the Knotty Pine. The Laramie County Christmas basket Program is a great thing for the community, but not many understand or even know what this program does. The program was initially founded in 1962 by Robert S. Covid strikes again, knocking out several events in the weekly agenda. Many of which are for Veterans Day, a huge part of our community. This past year has seen nurseries across the United States running out of trees, shrubs, and seeds. Even our local nurseries in Southeast Wyoming and Northern Colorado were running out. East coast born and raised Brian Higgins, son of John and Mildred Higgins, has made his move to Wyoming. Higgins grew up in the nice little town of Bristol, Maine. He graduated from Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, Maine in 1989. In his late teens and early 20's, he was a member of the Bristol Fire & Rescue as a volunteer fireman and licensed first responder. The Texas Trail Market has been serving and hosting the annual meeting for over 35 years. This year things will be a little bit different due to the recent community outbreak of Covid-19. At the very first meeting in 1985 Texas Trail Market served donuts. They served about 192 doughnuts. At the 2019 meeting they served roughly 150 people with a full meal, desserts included.
