In February of his senior year, John Wise would receive his "D" letter. This was not a bad grade, but a letter notifying him that upon graduation from high school he would be drafted. The native of Pine Bluffs decided to check out all the branches of the military to see which one would offer him the most in opportunities, schooling and training. December 15th was our 7th annual Shop with A Hero. Laramie County Fire District #5 and Pine Bluffs Police Department teamed up and took 10 kids shopping at Walmart. Each child was given $100.00 to spend on Christmas presents. Each family was also given a turkey and a ham due to the generosity of our great community members who donated to this awesome program.
