The residents of Pine Bluffs woke up Tuesday, December 29 to a frigid snowfall with temperatures dipping into the teens in the early morning hours. This was not the most snow the area has seen, however, it was still enough to cause road closures. The Points West Community Branch President Scott Vasko recently awarded the Pine Bluff Lions Club with a generous donation for their community help fund. This donation will be used to help with their eyeglasses and exam program and their student of the quarter grants. Every year eight grants are handed out to two students per quarter. The Pine Bluffs Hornets ended the first 3 weeks of the season with a 3-1 record when they beat the Glenrock Herders by a score of 49 – 37. In their first away game of the season the Hornets were able to keep the Herders at bay and add another win to their record. The Lady Hornets, 1-3 got their first win of the season during their first away game against the 2-3 Glenrock Herders. It was a close game with both teams pushing hard but the Hornets came out on top with a score of 40-37.
