    During halftime of the Lady Hornets varsity basketball game, the Kimball radio station KIMB sponsored a friendly competition between police departments. It was suggested that the chief of the Kimball police department and the chief of the Pine Bluffs police department compete at center court for a $500 purse.     Cody Hape, the Burns Broncs track and field star of last season is continuing his rise to the top of his field. Hape, who was the 2A state champion in the 400m run last season has run the third fastest time in the 400m in Wyoming collegiate history. This will put him in the record book in this event.     The Burns Broncs fell prey to the Hornets swarming offense last Saturday. The Broncs, with a seasonal record of 1-20 were able to control the Hornets potent offense for the first quarter.     The Broncs were unable to cage the Tigers in their away meeting last Friday. The Broncs were out matched by the Tigers and unable to get around their defense or slow their fast-paced offense. Mason Medley stood out among the Broncs with a valiant effort scoring 23 points on the night. Most of Medley’s points came inside the arch and from the free throw line.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs indoor track team competed in the Mustang Invite indoor track meet held in Casper, Wyoming. The team did well when you consider the weather and the long trip to Casper. Several of the competitors were able to break the top 10 while the girl’s 4x800m relay team broke into the top three with a third-place finish.     Madison Foley, the Burns Broncs volleyball defensive specialist signs with the Colby Trojans. Foley who set two school records in her tenure at Burns High School signed a "Letter of Intent" with Colby Community College to play volleyball for the Trojans.
