walked gently through the hallways of Pawnee High School Monday morning. His slow lumber was due to the ankle injury sustained at the play-off game Friday night against Fleming. “We lost,” Klinginsmith said leaning on the better foot.

But Klinginsmith, a senior at Pawnee, is looking to the future beyond football.

“It’s better if you do well in school now because it will provide more opportunities for college and have a better paying job later,” he said.

He hopes to play a few more years of football, but plans to settle down in Agribusiness or diesel mechanics.
