Albin elementary receives national recognition

Albin received national recognition with the National Title I Distinguished School Award for 2012. The school will be honored at the national conference in January, 2013, in Nashville, Tenn.

Albin was recognized because the students have met their academic goals for more than two consecutive years.

“We are humbled by the level of success of our students,” said Leann Smith, Albin principal. “Only two schools per state can be selected for this award each year. This prestigiuous honor is a reflection of student effort, as well as on-going staff and community support.”
