Peanut brittle in a microwave? You bet!

Over 40 ladies took a seat in the Pine Bluffs Senior Center lunch room for a candy class Thursday. And what a sweet seat it was as Shelia Vella taught about some tips on making candy.

Vella moved quickly and easily through chocolate dipping and the easy processes of many sugary concoctions.

Vella even showed the class how to make peanut brittle in the microwave.

“It tasted really good and broke apart great,” said Alicia Burry, center assistant. “You would never know it was made in the microwave. I liked it and I don’t normally like peanuts.”
