Area football players named to All-State team

Burns Bronc junior, Travis Romsa, was named to the Wyoming 2A All-State football team. Romsa had a quality season on defense, ranking seventh in 2A defensive points per game.

He had 64 tackles, 24 of them all on his own and 10.5 netted a loss for the opposing team. He also helped defense with five sacks. Burns coach Marv Mirich, said he looks forward to Romsa building on his success in his senior year.

Lane Nusbaum was named to the Wyoming 1A All-State football team. Nusbaum will leave a huge void for the Pine Bluffs Hornets and coach Will Gray to fill. “Lane really filled out between his junior and senior year,” said Gray. “He executed what we needed him to, game in and game out. The state coaches thought he was deserving of this recognition, and I agree.”

Nusbaum had 43 tackles on the year, 27 of them on his own. He also assisted the defense with two fumble recoveries.
