Athlete of the Week: Zack Green, Pine Bluffs Junior High

“If you like running, just do it,” said Zack Green, Pine Bluffs eighth grader. Zack was selected as the Athlete of the week.

Zack recently moved to Pine Bluffs from Diamond, Mo. Zack explained that Diamond is about ten minutes from Joplin, Mo., “where all the tornadoes hit.”

Zack likes the competition cross-country provides, both toward himself and the other runners. “There are 50 or 60 other kids running with you, and it’s up to you to beat them,” Zack said. “I like running because I am good at it.”Zack’s time for the 4K dropped down to a bit less than 20 minutes.
