Student of the week: Burns Elementary School

If football were on the curriculum at Burns elementary, Hayden Pafford, Burns fourth grader, would do extra credit every day.

But even without football as a subject, Rose Tierney, fourth grade teacher, and principal Jerry Burkett are still proud to call Hayden their student.

“He is always respectful, polite, and quietly considerate,” said Tierney. “He takes his academics very seriously and works extremely hard to understand and apply all concepts”

Burkett called Hayden “a role model to all students.”
