Letters sent to verify land classification

Owners of land that has historically been classified as agricultural for property tax purposes should have received letters from the Laramie County Assessors Office.

According to Brenda Arnold, Laramie County Assessor, every six years this office contacts land owners to verify land still meets the criteria necessary to be valued as agricultural under Wyoming Statute.

Arnold stated if agricultural use is granted, it would be in effect for 2013 and future years.  2013 property assessments will be mailed March 20th.
